Common questions
Who provides in-home care near me in Las Vegas? (expand)
Trusted Friend Personal Care Agency provides non-medical in-home care across Las Vegas, Henderson and the Las Vegas Valley, including personal care, companionship, respite care and meal preparation. Call or text (702) 660-2060 for a free consultation.
What is non-medical home care? (expand)
Non-medical home care is everyday help at home from a trained caregiver: bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping, companionship, errands and medication reminders. It does not include nursing or medical treatment. It helps people stay safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.
How much does home care cost in Las Vegas? (expand)
It depends on how many hours of help are needed and what kind of help. We explain pricing clearly during a free consultation, with no obligation. Many families also use Nevada Medicaid, VA Community Care or long-term care insurance, when they qualify. Call or text (702) 660-2060 to talk it through.
Does Medicaid pay for home care in Nevada? (expand)
Nevada Medicaid can pay for personal care services at home for members who qualify and are approved. The program decides eligibility and how many hours are authorized. Trusted Friend can explain the steps and work with you once services are authorized. Learn how Medicaid personal care works.
Does the VA pay for home care for veterans in Las Vegas? (expand)
Yes, it can. Eligible veterans can receive homemaker and personal care services through VA Community Care when their VA care team approves and refers them. The VA decides eligibility and hours. See how VA home care works.
Does Medicare pay for non-medical home care? (expand)
Usually not. Original Medicare generally does not cover personal care like bathing, dressing or meals when that is the only help a person needs. Some Medicare Advantage plans include limited in-home support, so it is worth asking your plan. Nevada Medicaid, VA benefits or long-term care insurance may help instead.
How quickly can home care start? (expand)
Often we can talk with you the same day you call. After a free consultation we work out a schedule as quickly as caregiver availability and any required authorization allow. If you need help soon, call or text (702) 660-2060 so we can move fast.
Can I get home care for just a few hours a week? (expand)
Yes. Care is shaped around your schedule, from a few hours a week to longer daily visits, subject to caregiver availability and any authorization limits. Ask us about overnight and 24-hour care too.
What is the difference between home care and home health care? (expand)
Home care is non-medical help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, meals and companionship. Home health care is medical care at home from nurses or therapists, usually ordered by a doctor. Trusted Friend provides non-medical home care, and it can work alongside home health.
What is respite care? (expand)
Respite care is short-term help so a family caregiver can rest, work or take time away, knowing their loved one is supported at home. It can be a few hours, a regular weekly break or longer, depending on what you need.
Do caregivers help with bathing and dressing? (expand)
Yes. Personal care assistance includes help with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene, always with respect for privacy and dignity.
Can a home caregiver give medication? (expand)
Our caregivers give medication reminders to support an established routine. They do not give medication or provide medical care, because Trusted Friend is a non-medical personal care agency.
